Janitorial QC

Terms of Service

Effective November 6, 2026 · Version 2026-11-06

These Terms of Service (the "Terms") are an agreement between LT Services, Inc. ("JQC", "we", "us") and the business or organization that creates a workspace ("Customer", "you"). They govern your use of Janitorial QC — the web application, the iPad app, and related services (together, the "Service").

By ticking "I agree" when you create a workspace, or by using the Service, you accept these Terms. If you accept them on behalf of a company or other organization, you confirm that you have authority to bind it. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

Janitorial QC helps cleaning and facility-services businesses run quality-control programs: contracts, facilities and areas; inspections against configurable forms; issue tracking with service-level timers; customer portals; reports; and related notifications. Each Customer receives its own workspace with a separate database, reached at its own web address.

Inspection scores, SLA timers, reports and similar outputs are tools to support your own judgment. You remain responsible for the decisions you make with them and for the quality of the services you deliver to your own clients.

2. Workspaces and accounts

  • You must provide accurate information when you sign up and keep it current, including a valid email address for the workspace owner and for billing.
  • The person who creates the workspace becomes its first administrator. Administrators can invite staff, inspectors and your own customers' representatives ("Authorized Users"). You are responsible for who you invite, for the access you give them, and for everything done under your workspace's accounts.
  • Keep passwords and two-factor devices secure, and tell us promptly at legal@jqc.app if you suspect unauthorized access.
  • The Service is for business use. Authorized Users must be at least 18 years old.

3. Plans, trials and limits

  • Plans. Each plan has limits — for example the number of active users and facilities, and the number of inspections and issues per month — and includes certain features (such as the iPad app, scheduled reports, custom branding or a custom domain). The current plans are described on our website and on your workspace's Plan & Usage page.
  • Limits. When your workspace reaches its user or facility limit, new users or facilities cannot be added until you upgrade or deactivate existing ones. Monthly inspection and issue limits may show warnings instead of blocking work. Features that are not part of your plan are unavailable.
  • Free plan. The Free plan is provided at no charge, without a time limit, and within its stated limits. We may change or discontinue the Free plan with at least 30 days' notice.
  • Free trial. Paid plans start with a 14-day free trial. No payment details are needed to start one. We may limit the number of workspaces and free trials for one person or email address. When the trial ends, you must subscribe to continue using the paid plan; until you do, access to the workspace may be limited to its billing and settings pages.

4. Fees, billing and renewal

  • Paid plans are billed in advance for each billing period (for example monthly) at the price shown when you subscribe. Payments are processed by our payment provider, Stripe; we do not store your full card details.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until canceled. You authorize us, through Stripe, to charge your payment method for each renewal.
  • Prices exclude taxes. You are responsible for applicable taxes, other than taxes on our income.
  • If a payment fails, we will notify you and retry. If it remains unpaid, your subscription may end and your workspace move to the Free plan (see section 5).
  • We may change prices for future billing periods with at least 30 days' notice. A price change does not affect a period you have already paid for.
  • Except where the law requires otherwise, fees are non-refundable, including for partial billing periods and unused features or capacity.

5. Cancellation and downgrades

  • You can change or cancel your subscription at any time from the billing portal linked on your Plan & Usage page. A cancellation normally takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
  • When a paid subscription ends — because you cancel it or because payment fails — your workspace moves to the Free plan. Your data is kept. Free plan limits then apply: existing users and facilities remain, but you cannot add more beyond the Free limits, and features not included in the Free plan are switched off. Settings for those features (such as scheduled reports and branding) are kept and return if you upgrade again.
  • Moving to a lower plan works the same way.

6. Your data

  • Privacy. Our Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect and how we use and protect it.
  • Ownership. As between you and us, you own the information, photos and files that you and your Authorized Users put into the Service ("Customer Data").
  • Our use. You grant us a limited license to host, copy, process, transmit and display Customer Data only as needed to provide, secure and support the Service, to prevent abuse, and as required by law. We do not sell Customer Data.
  • Usage information. We may collect technical and usage information about how the Service is used, and use it — in aggregated or de-identified form that does not identify you or any person — to operate and improve the Service.
  • Your responsibilities. You are responsible for the Customer Data you upload, including having the rights and any consents needed to upload it — for example photos of people or premises, and personal details of your staff and your clients' contacts.
  • Export. While your workspace is active, you can export much of your data through the Service's reports and exports (PDF, CSV and Excel).
  • Deletion. If your workspace is deleted, we delete its database and files. Copies may remain in our backups for a limited period until they are overwritten in the normal course. Before deleting a workspace we may take a final backup, retained for a limited period for recovery purposes only.

7. Public links and QR codes

Some features work without signing in, through unguessable links: facility QR codes (which show summary scores and let building occupants report a problem) and work-order links sent to your contractors. Anyone who has such a link can use it. You decide where to post QR codes and to whom you send work-order links, and you can replace a facility's QR code from the Service if a link is exposed. Issues reported through a public QR page come from people who are not your users; treat their content accordingly.

8. Support access

To provide support, investigate a problem or protect the Service, our authorized staff may sign in to your workspace through a dedicated, clearly labelled support account. This access is limited to those purposes, requires our staff to pass two-factor authentication, and is recorded in our audit log.

9. Acceptable use

You will not, and will not let anyone else:

  • use the Service unlawfully, or to store or send content that is unlawful, infringing, defamatory, harassing or malicious;
  • attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, to other customers' workspaces or data, or to our systems, or probe, scan or test their vulnerability without our written permission;
  • upload malware, or interfere with or overload the Service;
  • reverse-engineer the Service except where the law allows it despite this restriction;
  • resell, sublicense or provide the Service to third parties as a service bureau, other than to your own clients through the customer features of your workspace;
  • use the Service to build a competing product, or circumvent plan limits or billing;
  • send spam through the Service's email features.

10. Third-party services and AI

  • We use trusted providers to run the Service, including cloud hosting and file storage, email delivery, Stripe for payments, Google Maps for facility locations and maps, and an AI provider for the support chat assistant and for translating support messages. They process data on our behalf only as needed to provide their part of the Service.
  • The support chat assistant generates answers automatically. Its answers may be incomplete or wrong; do not rely on them for safety, legal or contractual decisions, and contact a person through a support ticket when it matters. Do not enter passwords or other secrets into the chat.
  • Links to third-party websites and services are provided for convenience; we are not responsible for them.

11. Security and availability

We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards designed to protect Customer Data, including separate databases per workspace, encryption in transit and optional two-factor sign-in. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee that unauthorized access will never occur. If we become aware of a breach affecting your Customer Data, we will notify you without undue delay.

We aim to keep the Service available, but it is provided without a guaranteed uptime or service level. Maintenance, updates and events outside our control may cause interruptions.

12. Suspension and termination

  • You may stop using the Service and ask us to delete your workspace at any time by writing to legal@jqc.app.
  • We may suspend access, in whole or in part, if we reasonably believe it is necessary to prevent harm to the Service, to other customers or to third parties, if you breach these Terms, or if the law requires it. Where practical, we will tell you first and give you a chance to fix the problem.
  • We may terminate these Terms and your workspace for a material breach that you do not cure within 30 days of notice, immediately for a serious breach of section 9, or for any reason with at least 60 days' notice. If we terminate for convenience, we will refund any prepaid fees for the period after termination.
  • Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including 6 (Deletion), 13 to 16, 18 and 19 — survive it.

13. Intellectual property

We and our licensors own the Service, including its software, design and documentation. These Terms give you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service for your internal business purposes during your subscription; they do not transfer any ownership. If you send us suggestions or feedback, we may use them without obligation to you.

14. Disclaimer of warranties

Except as expressly stated in these Terms, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title and non-infringement, and any warranty that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

15. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law: (a) neither party will be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, goodwill or data, even if advised of their possibility; and (b) each party's total liability arising out of or relating to these Terms will not exceed the amounts you paid us for the Service in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim, or one hundred US dollars (US$100) if you have paid nothing.

These limits do not apply to your payment obligations, to a party's indemnification obligations, or to liability that cannot be limited by law.

16. Indemnification

You will defend and indemnify us against third-party claims, and resulting losses and reasonable costs, arising from Customer Data or from your or your Authorized Users' use of the Service in breach of these Terms or the law. We will notify you promptly of any such claim and let you control its defense, and you will not settle a claim that imposes an obligation on us without our consent.

17. Changes to the Service and these Terms

We continuously improve the Service and may add, change or remove features. We will not materially reduce the core functionality of a paid plan during a billing period you have paid for.

We may update these Terms. If a change is material, we will give at least 30 days' notice by email to the workspace's administrators or in the Service before it takes effect. Continuing to use the Service after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms. If you do not accept them, you may cancel before they take effect.

18. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. The courts located there have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms, and each party consents to their jurisdiction. Before starting proceedings, each party will first try in good faith to resolve the dispute by contacting the other.

19. General

  • These Terms are the entire agreement between you and us about the Service and supersede any prior agreement on the same subject, unless we have signed a separate written agreement with you, which then prevails.
  • Neither party may assign these Terms without the other's consent, except to a successor in a merger, acquisition or sale of substantially all of its business.
  • Neither party is liable for delays caused by events beyond its reasonable control.
  • If any provision is held unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Not enforcing a provision is not a waiver of it.
  • We may send notices by email to the addresses on your workspace or in the Service. Send notices to us at the address below.
